Arosha Abeyrathna is a structural engineer from Sri Lanka, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Moratuwa, where he graduated in 2024. He completed his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at the same university, graduating with distinction for his work on the integration of graph neural networks for form-finding.

Arosha’s research explores the combination of graph learning and physics for designing sustainable structures, particularly bamboo and timber systems under extreme conditions. He focuses on physics-informed graph neural networks and transferable digital twins to address challenges such as material variability, nonlinear deformations, and real-time monitoring. This work aims to reconcile structural efficiency with design flexibility, promoting eco-friendly construction in regions where bamboo holds cultural significance. By advancing adaptive tools for form-finding and health assessment, his contributions support resilient architecture amid climate challenges.
