Dr. Milindu Jayasekara

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow

Milindu Jayasekara is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKU, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, where he obtained his B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Engineering. He completed his PhD in Engineering at the University of Cambridge and was the recipient of the prestigious Jafar Cambridge Studentship. Milindu’s expertise lies in structural engineering, and his key research interests include protective design, timber structures, computational mechanics, machine learning/AI, and optimisation.
