Xiyu Wei is a PhD student in the Department of Architecture at The University of Hong Kong. He received his Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Lanzhou University of Technology and his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Liaoning Technical University.

His research focuses on integrating structural behaviour with artificial intelligence for adaptive structures. By combining computer vision and machine learning, he investigates how structural forms can be controlled and adapted under changing environmental conditions. His research aims to develop intelligent structures with enhanced resilience and reduced material consumption.
