Congratulations to Dr. Hao Liu on being awarded the Research Grants Council Junior Research Fellow Scheme (RGC JRFS) for the two-year project “Optimising Building Design for Disassembly and Reuse Using an Expert-Augmented AI-Driven Approach.” The competitive scheme supports outstanding early-career researchers across Hong Kong, with only 60 fellowships awarded across all disciplines in the 2026/27 exercise.

Running from June 2026 to May 2028, the fellowship enables Hao to undertake two years of postdoctoral research with StructurAI Lab at HKU, developing AI-enabled approaches to building design for disassembly, material reuse, and circular construction.
