Kam-Ming Mark Tam was awarded the ETH Medal for his doctoral thesis, Learning Discrete Equilibrium: Trans-topological Inverse Pattern and Force Design Using Machine Learning and Automatic Differentiation.
The ETH Medal is awarded by ETH Zürich in recognition of outstanding doctoral theses. The work was completed at ETH Zürich and examined by a committee including Philippe Block, Tom Van Mele, Andreas Krause, R.K. Otani, Nathan Brown, and chaired by Benjamin Dillenburger.
